Michael Mirer is a Miami criminal defense attorney who concentrates his legal practice in the area of criminal defense. He has established a highly successful criminal defense trial practice in South Florida. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Mirer was an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County where he prosecuted all levels of crime and was ultimately appointed to the Career Criminal Robbery Unit. He has extensive trial and courtroom experience which includes over 100 trials.

Mr. Mirer has lectured on trial techniques for presentations given by the American Association of Addiction headed by former United States Drug Czar Robert DuPont. He has also given lectures on cross-examination to other attorneys as part of a Continuing Legal Education program and has served as a judge for mock trial competitions at the University of Miami School of Law. He was most recently asked to join a panel of experts to provide legal opinions for criminal law treatises.

Mr. Mirer received his B.A. degree from the University of Miami and his J.D. from the University of Miami where he graduated Cum Laude. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the middle District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court.
